Arc which subtends angle Φ at centre of circle.

To Find:

Length of arc

Solution:

The angle at the centre is 360

The perimeter of circle is 2πr

⇒ The arc will divide circumference into ( Φ/ 180 ) parts.

so, the length of arc will be

⇒ ( Φ/ 360 ) × 2πr

⇒  ( Φ/ 180 ) × πr

Hence, the length of arc will be ( Φ/ 180 ) × πr.
