Answer:

Let The numerator be x

Denominator= x+5

and also

if 3 is added to both , result is 3/4

Therefore the values are

 \frac{x + 3}{x + 5 + 3}  =  \frac{x + 3}{x + 8}  \\   \frac{x + 3}{x + 8} =  \frac{3}{4}   \\  4x + 12 = 3x + 24 \\ 4x = 3x + 12 \\ x = 12

Therefore the fraction is

 \frac{12}{12 + 5} \\  =   \frac{12}{17}

Therefore Option A) is the correct answer

★ Explanation ★

Option [ A ] 12/17

Let the numerator be X and the denominator be X+5, our fraction becomes X/(X+5)

Add 3 to both, the fraction is now:

(X+3) / (X+8)

We know the fraction is equal to 3/4

So (X+3)/(x+8)=3/4

Multiply both sides by the denominators and you get 4(X+3)=3(X+8)

Now multiply out the brackets and solve for X. Then substitute the value of X into the original fraction.

That's as much of your homework as I'm going to do :)
