let the numerator =x
denominator =2x+1
fraction =x/2x+1----(1)
if the numerator and denominator ate both increased by 5 =3/5
(x+5)/(2x+1+5)=3/5
(x+5)/(2x+6)=3/5

5(x+5)=3(2x+6)
5x+25=6x+18
25-18=6x-5x
7=x
x=7
substitute. x=7 in (1)
required fraction=x/(2x+1)
=7/(2*7+1)
=7/15
