The denominator of a fraction is 3 more than the numerator. If the numerator as well as the denominator is increased by 4, the fraction becomes 4/5.What was the original fraction?​

let the numerator=x

denominator=x+3

fraction=x/(x+3)

ATQ

(x+4)÷{(x+3)+4}=4/5

(x+4)÷{x+7}=4/5

5(x+4)=4{x+7}

5x+20=4x+28

5x-4x=28-20

x=8

fraction=8/(8+3)

=8/11. Ans
