Hey MATE!

Let the numerator of the fraction be x. therefore the denominator is (x + 3)

Fraction is :
 \frac{x}{x + 5}

Now it is said that we add 5 to both and the fraction becomes 4/5 :

 \frac{x + 5}{(x + 5) + 5}  =  \frac{4}{5}  \\ 5(x + 5) = 4(x + 10) \\ 5x + 25 = 4x + 40 \\ x = 40 - 25 \\ x = 15 \\  \\ therefore \: fraction \: is \:  =  >  \\  \frac{15}{15 + 5}  =  >  \frac{15}{20}

Hope it helps
