let numerator be = x
denominator = x+3

Answer:

1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

let X is an numerator and Y is the denominator

the denominator of a fraction is 3 more than the numerator

y=3x (1)

if 2 is added to the numerator and 5 add in denominator than fraction become 1/2

x+2/y+5=1/2 (cross multiply)

2x+4=y+5 (2)

from (1) put y=3x in(2) equation, we have

2x+4=3x+5

4-5=3x-2x

-1=x

put x=-1 in (1) equation, we have

y=3(-1) =-3

required fraction is

-1/-3=1/3
