x / 4+2x is the original fraction
4+2(x-6) = 12(x -6)
4 +2x -12 =12x -72
64 =10x
x = 32/5
(32/5 )/ (4 +32×2/5)=(32/5)/(84/5)
=32/84=8/21 is the answer
