Now,

The denominator of a fraction is 4 more than twice its numerator, that is

q = 4 +2p         ( say equation 1)

Again,

Denominator becomes 12 times the numerator, if both the numerator and the denominator are reduced by 6, that is

(q -6) = 12(p - 6)           (say equation 2)

On solving these two equations simultaneously, we get

p = 7

and

q = 18

Hence the fraction = \frac{7}{18}
