Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numerator be 'x' and then the denominator will be 'x+5'.

Now, According to the question :-

x + 8/x+5+8 = 3/4

=> x + 8/x + 13 = 3/4

=> 3(x + 13) = 4(x + 8)

=> 3x + 39 = 4x + 32

=> 4x - 3x = 39 - 32

Therefore, x = 7

Now, Orginal fraction = numerator/numerator + 5 ( denominator)

= x/x+5 (As we have already let "x " to be the numerator)

= 7/7+5

= 7/12

Hope it helps :)
