Hii !!

Let numerator of rational number be X.

Denominator = ( 1 + X ) .

Rational number = Numerator/Denominator = X / X + 1.

According to question,

X + 17 / X + 1 - 1 = 27

X + 17 / X = 27

27X = X + 17

27X - X = 17

26X = 17

X = 17 / 26.

Numerator= X = 17/26.

And,

Denominator = X + 1 = 17/26 + 1 = 17 + 26 / 26 = 43/26.

Therefore,

Required Rational number = Numerator/Denominator = 17 / 26 / 43 / 26 = 17/43.
