let numerator be x then denominator is x+2
number is x/x+2
Now
x/x+5=1/2
⇒2x=x+5
⇒x=5
hence the number is 5/7

Let the numerator be x denominator =x+2 +3 A.T.Q

x/(x+2)+3 = 1/2

x/x+5=1/2

by cross multiplication

x=5

Numerator =5

Denominator =5+2 =7
