let numerator be x then denominator is x+2
number is x/x+2
Now
x/x+5=1/2
⇒2x=x+5
⇒x=5
hence the number is 5/7
number is x/x+2
Now
x/x+5=1/2
⇒2x=x+5
⇒x=5
hence the number is 5/7
