Heya dear !!!

Let Numerator of Rational Number be X.

Denominator of Rational Number = (X +8)

Rational Number = Numerator/Denominator X / X +8 .

Numerator is increased by 17 and denominator is increased by 1 New numerator and denominator = ( X+17) and ( X +8+1)= ( X+9)

According to question,

X + 17 / X + 8 + 1 = 3/2

X + 17 / X +9 = 3/2

2 ( X +17) = 3 ( X + 9)

2X + 34 = 3X + 27

3X - 2X = 34 -27

X = 7

Numerator = X = 7

Denominator = X +8 = 7 +8 = 15

Rational Number = 7/15

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU..... :-)

Let, Nominator = x
Denominator = x + 8

Fraction = x/(x + 8)

=================

According to the question, if numerator is increased by 17 and denominator is increased by 1,

Then,

(x + 17)/(x + 8 + 1) = 3/2

2(x + 17) = 3(x + 9)

2x + 34 = 3x + 27

34- 27 = 3x - 2x

7 = x

=================.
Required rational number: x/(x +8)

Rational number = 7/(7+8) = 7/15

I hope this will help you
