Step-by-step explanation:

Let the rational number is x/y

case -I

x/y= x/x+7

7+x=y

x-y= -7. __1

case-2

x+17/y-6=2

x+17= 2y-12

x-2y= -29. __2

on solving both eq's

we get y=22

x=15

the rational number=15/22
