here is your answer ;-

numerator = x
denominator = x + 6

Now, A/c to qn
(x + 5)/(x+6 - 3) = 5/4
4(x + 5) = 5(x +3)
4x + 20 = 5x +15
-x = -5
x = 5

Hence,
rational number = x/(x + 6) =5/11

Heya...
Here is your answer ---

Here, Let the numerator be x
Then, the denominator = x+6

ATQ

=> x+5/x+6-3 = 5/4
=> x+5/x+3 = 5/4
=> 4 (x+5) = 5 (x+3)
=> 4x+20 = 5x+15
=> 4x-5x = 15-20
=> -x = -5
=> x = 5
So, the rational no. is x/x+6 = 5/5+6 = 5/11
