Let the Numerator be x, then Denominator will be (x+8) .
 \frac{x}{x + 8}
N is increased by 17, and D is decreased by 1
New no.:
 \frac{x + 17}{x + 7}
(x+17)/(x+7) = 3/2
or, 2x+34 = 3x + 21
or, x =13
Number is x/(x+8)= 13/21 【ANS】
