Let us take x to be the numerator and y to be the denominator. Alright, so y=x+4

Therefore, x/x+4 is the fraction

so x+11/x+4-1 = 7/3 Now Cross Multiply

3(x+11)= 7(x+3) 3x+33= 7x+21

4x=12 x=3 x+4=y= 7

So the original fraction was 3/7 which then became 14/6

Answer:

Explanation:

let the numerator = x

So, denominator=-x+4

Number=

x+4

x

According to question,

x+4−1

x+11

=

3

7

⟹3(x+11)=7(x+3)

⟹4x=12

⟹x=3

Hence, original number =

7

3
