the denominator of a rational number is greater than the its number by 6. if 2 is subtracted from the numerator and 3added to the denominator, the number is 2/3 .Find the original number.​

Let numerator is x and denominator is 8-x

ATQ

x+3/8-x+3= 3/4

x+3/11-x=3/4

4(x+3)= 3(11-x)

4x+12=33-3x

4x+3x= 33-12

7x= 21

x= 3

  • So fraction is 3/5
