Hiii friend,

Let the Numerator of the fraction be X.

Then the denominator of the fraction 2X+4.

Therefore,

Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = X/2X+4

Numerator and Denominator is reduced by 6 . Then numerator and denominator become (X-6) and (2X+4-6) = (2X-2)

According to question,

2X -2 = 12(X-6)

2X -2 = 12X -72

12X -2X = 72-2

10X = 70

X = 70/10

X = 7

Numerator = X = 7

And,

Denominator = (2X+4) = 2 × 7 +4 = 18

Therefore,

Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = X/2X+4 = 7/18

the denominator of the fraction = (2x + 4)

New numerator formed = (x - 6)

New denominator formed = (2x + 4 - 6)

= (2x - 2)

according to question ,

2x - 2 = 12(x - 6)

=> 2x - 2 = 12x - 72

=> 2x - 12x = - 72 + 2

=> - 10x = - 70

=> x = -70/-10

=> x = 7

Hence , numerator = 7

and denominator = (2 × 7 + 4)

= (14 + 4)

= 18

Therefore , fraction = 7/18
