The densities of two different liquids A and B are in the ratio 19:22
The mass of 1 cm^3 of liquid B is 1.1 g.
5cm^3 of liquid A is mixed with 15 cm^3 of liquid B to make 20cm^3 of liquid C.

Work out the density of liquid C.

Answer:

1.0625 g/cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

The densities of two different liquids A and B are in the ratio 19:22

The mass of 1 cm^3 of liquid B is 1.1 g.

5cm^3 of liquid A is mixed with 15 cm^3 of liquid B to make 20cm^3 of liquid C.

Density = Mass / Volume

Liquib B Density =  1.1 / 1  = 1.1  g/cm³

Density of A / Density of B  = 19/22

=> Density of A = (19/22) * 1.1

=> Density of A = 0.95 g/cm³

5 cm³ liquid A mass =  0.95 * 5 =  4.75 g

15 cm³ liquid B mass =  1.1 * 15 =  16.5 g

Total Mass of Liquid C = 4.75 + 16.5 = 21.25 g

Total Volume of Liquid C = 20 cm³

the density of liquid C = 21.25/20  = 1.0625 g/cm³
