Given ;- 20 % w/v
density = 1.5 g /ml

1st of all 20% w/v means 100 ml solution has 20g NaOH

we know that mass = volume × density

hence,

wt of 100 ml solution = 100ml × 1.5g/ml

=> 150g

wt of fraction of NaOH = 20 / 150

% by weight = 20 / 150 × 100

= 40 / 3
