AB,BC,CA form a right angle triangle at B

so according to pythogoras (AB)^2+(BC)^2=(AC)^2

AB and BC are sides and AC is diagonal

(240)^2+ (x)^2=(289)^2

57600+ x^2=83521

x^2=83521-57600=25921

x=√25921=161m

side=240m

by Pythagoras theorem

leg^2+leg^2=hypotenus^2

side^2+240^2=289^2

side^2=289^2-240^2

=83521-57600

=25921

side=root 2592

=161m
