The length of diagonal = d = 40
Then, The length of side = d/(2)^[1/2] = 20(2)^1/2
Area = 800 square meters.

Formula:

  • Diagonal of square = √2(Side)

Putting the values in the formula:

   \implies \:40 =  \sqrt{2} (side) \\  \implies \:  \dfrac{40}{ \sqrt{2} }   = side \\  \implies \:  \dfrac{40}{ \sqrt{2} }  \times  \dfrac{ \sqrt{2} }{ \sqrt{2} }   = side \\  \implies \:  \dfrac{40 \sqrt{2} }{2} = side \\  \implies \: 20 \sqrt{2} \: m = side

Formula:

  • Area of Square = (Side)²

=> Area of square field = (20√2)²
