ANSWER :

Perimeter of rectangle is 42 cm.

EXPLANATION :

Given :-

  • Diagonal of rectangle=15 cm.
  • Length of rectangle = 12 cm.

To find :-

  • Perimeter of the rectangle.

Solution :-

Diagonal = 15 cm.

Length = 12 cm.

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x cm.

We know,

Diagonal of rectangle=√(Length²+Breadth²)

Diagonal=√(Length²+Breadth²)

→15=√(12²+x²)

→15²=12²+x²

→225=144+x²

→225-144=x²

→81=x²

→√81=x

→9=x

Breadth = 9 cm.

★Now find the perimeter of the rectangle.

We know,

Perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

Perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

Perimeter of rectangle=2(12+9)cm

Perimeter of rectangle= 42 cm.
