Solution :-

Given,

  • Ratio of diagonals = 3 : 4
  • Longer diagonal = 12 cm

We need to find ,

  • Area of rhombus = ?

Let the given ratio be a part of x

Now , the longer diagonal is 4x

[ °.° 3 < 4 ]

→ 4x = 12

→ x = 12 ÷ 4

x = 3cm

Now , finding other diagonal .

3x = other diagonal

→ 3(3)

Other diagonal = 9cm

Now , finding area of rhombus

Area of rhombus = 1/2 × d × d

Substituting known values,

⇒ Area of rhombus = 1/2 × 12 × 9

⇒ Area of rhombus = 6 × 9

Area of rhombus = 54 cm²

Hence , area of rhombus = 54cm²
