The diagonals of a rhombus are of lengths 6 cm and 8 cm. Find the perimeter of the rhombus?

let ABCD be a rhombus
AC and BD are diagonals.
AC=6, BD=8
diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles.
consider AC and BD meet at O
then in triangle AOD,
AD² = AO² + OD²
= (AC/2)² + (BD/2)²
= 3² + 4²
= 25
AD = √25
AD=5=side of rhombus
perimeter=4*side
=4*5=20.
therefore perimeter of rhombus is 20cm.

perimeter of a rhombus = 4*side =4*5 = 20 cm
