Events occuring in a biogas plant.

Explanation:

The sequence of events occuring in a biogas plant are as follows:

(a)  In digetsor slurry is fed

The slurry of an animal dung and other waste material is prepared in a mixing tank by mixing it with an equal amount of water.

(b) The biomass Decomposition.

The slurry which is prepared is passed to a digester tank where it is decomposed by anaerobic bacteria in 50 -60 days by which gas is produced.

(c) Gases produced are used as a fuel.

Biogas is comprised of Carbon dioxide, Methane and the traces of gases such as hydrogen and nitrogen.
