The diagram shows triangle ABC. The point D lies on AB such that ∠ADC = 90° AC = 4 cm AD = 3 cm BD = 5 cm Calculate the size, in degrees to one decimal place, of ∠ABC.

Answer:

First take a D point on AB at 90° and then,

Take a triangle ADC use phythagorus theorum find the side of CD, the side of CD is 5 cm

then take other triangle BDC again use phythagorus theorum to find the side CB, the side of CB is 10cm,

we find the triangle BDC is a isosceles triangle therefore use the property of isosceles triangle then Angle ABC is 45°
