Given :

  • The diameter of a circle is 1.06 m.

To find :

  • The area to an appropriate number of significant figures =?

Formula Used :

  • Area of circle = πr².

Step-by-step explanation :

It is Given that,

The diameter of a circle is 1.06 m.

As We know that,

Radius = Diameter/2

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= 1.06/2

= 0.53.

Therefore, Radius of the circle = 0.53 m.

Now,

As We know that,

Area of circle = πr².

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= πr²

= π × (0.53)²

= 3.14 × 0.53 × 0.53 [•°• π = 3.14]

= 0.882026

Therefore, Area of the circle = 0.882026 m².
