d = 14 cm

r = d/2 = 14/2 = 7 cm

Circumference = 2πr

= 2×22/7×7

= 44 cm

\Large\sf\underbrace{Question:}

The diameter of a circle is 14 cm. Find its circumference.

\sf\Large{\underline{\underline{Answer:-}}}

Given

  • Diameter (d) = 14cm
  • Find its circumference.

We know that,

\begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\;cirumference\;=\;\bf{{2\pi \: r}\:}}\end{gathered}

Where,

  • \begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\; Radius\;=\;\bf{{ \frac{d}{2} }\:}}\end{gathered}
  • \begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\; Radius\;=\;\bf{{ \frac{14}{2} }\:}}\end{gathered}
  • Radius = 7cm.

Now, Substitute the values,

\begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\;circumference\;=\;\bf{{ 2 \times  \frac{22}{7 }   \times }{7}\:}}\end{gathered}

\LongrightarrowCancel 7 by 7, we get

\begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\;circumference\;=\;\bf{{2 \times 22}\:}}\end{gathered}

\LongrightarrowMultiply the values,

\begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\;circumference\;=\;\bf{{44cm}\:}}\end{gathered}
