Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of wheel =35cm

Radius of wheel =35/2 =17.5 cm

Circumference of wheel =2×22/7×r =2×22/7×175/10 =110 cm

Thus,

The wheel will cover 110×1000 =110000cm or 1.1 km

SOLUTION :

The diameter of the circle = 35 cm      (given)

To be found :-

The number of revolutions covering 22 km

The radius of the circle = diameter ÷ 2

radius of the circle = 35 ÷ 2 = 17.5 cm

Circumference of the circle = 2πr units

[ ∴ In which r is the radius of the circle ]

= \bf 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 17.5

= 110 cm

Now,

One circumference = one revolution

Here,

22 km = 22 × 1000 = 22000 m

22000 m = 22000 × 100 = 2200000 cm

[ ∴ 1 km = 1000 m, 1 m = 100 cm, to convert km to m multiply 1000 to given km, and to convert m to cm multiply 100 to given m ]

Number of revolutions will be

=  \bf \frac{2200000 }{110}

= 20000 revolutions

Hence

The circle will make 20000 revolutions
