Diameter of the circular wheel = 14 cm

We know that the circumference of a circle is equal to the product of pi and diameter/two times the radius therefore,

Circumference of the wheel = π * D, where D stands for diameter of the circle

C = \bold{\frac{22}{7} \times 14 }\\ \\

C = \bold{22 \times 2}\\ \\

C = \bold{44 cm}

Circumference of wheel = Distance travelled by it in 1 revolution

Distance travelled by wheel in 1 revolution = 44 cm

Let the number of revolutions be ' x '.

Distance to be travelled = 5.5 km = 5500 m = 550000 cm

Therefore,

44 * x = 550000

x = 550000 / 44

x = 50000 / 4

x = 25000 / 2

x = 12500

Hence,

The required number of revolutions = 12500
