the diameter of a circular playground is 80m.there is a road 3m wide on its inside around it. find the cost of constructing the road at 15 .rs per sq.m.

Given that a circular playground has diameter 80 m. Road of 3m wide inside is constructed.  Inside again there will be a small circle formed with diametre equal to 80-2(3) = 74 m.

The area of the road = Area of big circle -Area of small circle

= \pi( R^2 -r^2) = \pi [ {(\frac{80}{2}}^2 - \frac{74}{2} }^2]</p><br /><p>= 3.14(231) = 725.34 sq m.</p><br /><p>Cost of constructing the road = 15(725.34) = 10880.10
