Radius of the pond(inner circle)=17.5/2=8.75m

Width of surrounded park=3.5m

Radius of outer circle=8.75+3.5=12.25m

Area of ring=π(R+r)(R-r)

=22/7(12.25+8.75)(12.25-8.75)

=22/7(21)(3.5)

=22/7(73.5)

=231m^2
