Given conditions ⇒

Diameter of the Sphere = 2.78 m.

∴ Radius = 1.39 m.

∴ Volume of the Sphere = 4/3 × πr²

= 4/3 × 22/7 × (1.39)²

= 8.096 m³

≈ 8.10 m³

Hence, the volume of the Sphere is 8.10 m³.

Hope it helps.

Answer:

11.24  m³

Explanation:

The diameter of a sphere is 2.78 m. Calculate its volume with due regards to significant figures.

Diameter of Sphere = 2.78 m

Radius of sphere = 2.78/2 = 1.39 m

Volume of sphere = (4/3) π R³

π = 3.14  ( two decimal places)

Volume =  (4/3) (3.14) (1.39)³

= 11.24  m³ ( two decimal Places)
