the diameter of a spherical balloon increases from 14cm to 28cm as air is being pummped into it find the ratio of surface areas of the balloons in the two cases​

Answer: case-1

Diameter=14cm

Radius=7cm

Surface area of sphere= 4πr^2

                                      4*π*7*7

Case-2

Diameter=28cm

Radius=14cm

Surface area of sphere= 4πr^2

                                      4*π*14*14

Ratio of their surface area=

                                     4π*49/4π*196

                                      =49/196

                                      =1/4

                                       =1:4
