circumference = πd = 3.14*35 = 110m

distance = 2.2km = 2200m

times the wheel will rotate = 2200/110 = 22 times

answer is option D

Solution

Given :-

  • Diameter of a wheel = 35 m

Find :-

  • Number of rotation cover by wheel.

Explanation

Here,

  • Radius of a wheel be = 35/2 = 17.5 m

We Have,

\dag\boxed{\underline{\tt{\red{\: Circumference_{wheel}\:=\:2\:\pi\:r}}}}

So, Where

  • π = 22/7

==> Circumference of wheel = 22/7 × 17.5 × 2

==> Circumference of wheel = 22 /7 × 17.5 × 2

==> Circumference of wheel = 22 × 2.5 × 2

==> Circumference of Wheel = 22 × 5

==> Circumference of wheel = 110 m

That,s means,

If wheel take 1 rotation it be cover = 110 m.

We Have,

==> for cover 110 m distance by wheel take = 1 rotation

==> So, cover 2200 m distance by wheel take = 2200/110

==> 20

Hence

  • Total number of rotation be = 20.
