Answer:

Diameter of the roller = d = 1.4 m

Radius ( r ) = d/2 = 1.4/2 = 0.7m

Length of the roller = ( h ) = 2 m

If the roller complete one revolution

Then the area covered = curved surface area of the roller

= 2πrh

Area covered in 5 revolutions

= 5 × 2πrh

= 10 × 22/7 × 0.7 × 2

= 44 square meters

Step-by-step explanation:

The garden roller is in cylindrical shape.

Diameter = 1.4 m

Radius = d/2 = 1.4/2 = 0.7m

Length = Height of roller = 2m

Curve surface area of roller = Curved surface area of cylinder.

Curve surface area of roller = 2πrh

= 2 × 22/7 × 0.7 × 2

= 44 × 0.1 × 2

= 88 × 0.1

= 8.8 m

Area covered in 5 revolutions = 8.8 × 5 = 44m
