To find how much area will be covered in one rotation,

we have to find the curved surface area of cylindrical roller.

Given that Diameter, D=1.4 m.

and length h=2m.

so, radius r=

2

D

=

2

1.4

=0.7m.

As per formula, curved surface area=2πrh

=2×

7

22

×0.7×2

=8.8m

.

Step -2: Calculating the area covered in 5 revolutions.

So in 1 revolution total 8.8 m

2

area is covered.

∴ in 5 revolutions total area covered is 8.8×5 m

.

=44 m

.

Hence, It will cover total 44 m
