  • (a) option is correct beacuse volume of cone is 250π cm³.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

  • Diameter of the base of cone is 12 cm.
  • Height of cone is 20 cm.

To find:-

  • Volume of cone.

Solution:-

We know that,

 \boxed{\star \: \sf \bold{Volume \: of \:cone =  \cfrac{1}{3} \pi r^{2} h}}

In which,

  • r is Radius of cone.
  • h is height of cone.

h = 20 cm.

r =  \sf \cfrac{Diameter}{2}

=  \sf \cfrac{12}{2}

= 6

r = 6 cm.

Put r and h in formula :

 \longrightarrow \sf \cfrac{1}{3} \times \pi \times (6)^{2} \times 20

 \longrightarrow \sf \cfrac{1}{\cancel{3}} \times \pi \times \cancel {6} \times 6 \times 20

 \longrightarrow \sf 2 \times 6 \times 20 \times \pi

 \longrightarrow \sf 12 \times  20 \times \pi

 \longrightarrow \sf 240 \pi

Therefore,

Volume of cone is 250π cm³.
