let diameter of Earth be 2e and radius will be e
given dia of moon is 1/4(2e) =(1/2)e implies radius is (1/4)e

surface area of Earth=4πr*r= 4πe*e
surface area of moon=4πr*r= 4πe*e/16

ratio of areas= 16:1
