The distance covered will be

= 1000×Circumfrence of circle

So, finding Circumference first

Circumference = 2πr

=> circumference = 2×22/7×35

=> circumference = 220cm

Distance covered = 1000 × 220

= 220000cm

= 2200m

= 2.2Km

Correct Question:

The diameter of the wheel of a car is 35cm. How much distance will it cover in 1000 revolutions.

Required Answer:

Distance covered = 1.1 km

Solution:

Given:

Diameter of wheel = 35cm

No. of revolutions = 1000

To find:

Distance covered by car in 1000 revolutions.

How to find :

Distance covered = Revolutions × Circumference of wheel.

We have to find the circumference of wheel.

Formula used :

Circumference of circle = 2πr

Diameter of wheel = 35cm

Radius of circle = D/2 = 35/2 = 17.5 cm

Circumference of wheel = 2πr

= 2 × 22/7 × 17.5

= 110 cm

Therefore, circumference of wheel = 110cm

Distance covered = Revolutions × circumference of circle

= 1000 × 110cm

= 110000cm

Convert it into km

110000cm = 1.1km

Therefore, distance covered = 1.1 km
