First we have to find their areas
Let the 2 disks be disc 1 and disc 2
For disc 1;
let d be=2x
therefore r=2x/2= 1x
Therefore Area=2*22/7*1x= 44/7x
For disc 2;
let d be=3x
therefore r=3x/2
Therefore Area=2*22/7*3x/2= 66/7x
Now to compare their areas
44/7x:66/7x
=44x:66x
=4:6
=2:3
Let the 2 disks be disc 1 and disc 2

2:3 =>2x/3x....so the diameter of the first silver disc =2x and of the 2nd disc = 3x..so radius= 2x/2=x cm and of the 2nd disc =3x/2 cm..so ratio of the areas of the two silver disc =π *x^2 : π * (3x/2)^2 => 4:9
