d1=12. so r1= 12/2 = 6
d2 = 16 so r2 = 16/2 =8
sum of areas of circles
= pie r1^2 + pie r2^2
=pie(6^2+ 8^2)
=pie(36+64)
=100pie
now diameter of new circle = 2R
so area = pieR^2
100pie = pie R^2
100 = R^2
so R = square root of 100 =10 unit
