The difference between 12 times the length and 10 times the length of a line is 120 cm. Taking the length of
the line to be x, find the length of the line in centimetres.

So, we can write the difference of 12 times the length and 10 times the length of a line is 120 cm as

In equation,

12x - 10x = 120 cm

or, 2x = 120 cm

or, x or length = 120/2 cm

= 60 cm

So, the length of the line is 60 cm (Ans)
