Cell refers to the entire organisation of the basic structural unit of life that includes both cell covers and the protoplasm.

Cell covers include cell wall , glycocalyx(in bacteria) & cell membrane(although many times cell membrane is also considered a part of protoplasm instead of being comsidered seperate from it).

Protoplasm comsists of what we call the cytoplasm , all the organelles and nucleus along with the inclusion bodies and other suspended particles in the cytoplasm.

Protoplasm comsists of what we call the cytoplasm , all the organelles and nucleus along with the inclusion bodies and other suspended particles in the cytoplasm. ...Protoplasm is everything contained within the cell membrane. Cytoplasm is everything contained between the cell membrane and the nuclear membrane.
