Answer:

Let the sides containing right angles be x and y.

According to statement

y - x = 1 => y = 1 + x .........(1)

Also area of triangle = 21

1/2 × x × y = 21

x × y = 42

x × (1 + x) = 42

x(1 + x) = 6 × 7

So on comparing

x = 6 cm

So, other side y = 7 cm

so hypotenuse =

 \sqrt{ {6}^{2} + {7}^{2}   }  =  \sqrt{36 + 49}  =  \sqrt{85}

Perimeter = 6 + 7 + sqrt{85} = 13 + sqrt{85} cm
