The difference between the compound interest and simple interest on a certain sum of money at 15% per annum for 3 years is rupees to 283.50 .Find the sum.

sprao534: 4000 is correct. because the interest on 4000 for 3 years at 15% compounded annually is 2083.5 and simple interest on same amount for3 years at same rate of interest is 1800.diffence is 283.5
