$l-b=8-----(1)\\\\2(l+b)=64\\\Rightarrow\ l+b=32----(2)$

Add (1) and (2), we get

$2l=40\\\Rightarrow\ l=20$

Put l = 20 in (2), we get

$20+b=32\\\Rightarrow\ b= 32-20=12$

Hence, the length and breadth of this rectangle is 20 cm and 12 cm.
