Answer: C) L = 20 cm, B = 12 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of rectangle is given by :-

P=2(l+b) , where l is length and b is breadth of the rectangle.

Given : The difference between the length and the breadth of a rectangle is 8 cm and the perimeter is 64 cm.

i.e.

l-b=8-----(1)\\\\2(l+b)=64\\\Rightarrow\ l+b=32----(2)

Add (1) and (2), we get

2l=40\\\Rightarrow\ l=20

Put l = 20 in (2), we get

20+b=32\\\Rightarrow\ b= 32-20=12

Hence, the length and breadth of this rectangle is 20 cm and 12 cm.
