let one angle be x and another angle be (90°-x) respectively.

According the question,

x-(90°-x) =16°

x-90°+x=16°

2x-90°=16°

2x=90°-16°

2x=74°

x=74°/2

x=37°

so 90°-37°=53°

measure of two angles are 37° and 53°.

Answer:

b) 37°,53°

Step-by-step explanation:

let the first angle be x

second angle = x+16

x+(x+16)=90

2x+16=90

2x=90-16

2x=74

x=74/2

x= 37

Angles are x= 37°

x+16= 37+16 =53
