The difference between the squares of two consecutive numbers is 95. Find the numbers.

According to the question:

(x+1)² - x²= 95

x² + 1 + 2x - x²= 95

2x + 1 = 95

2x = 94

x = 94/2 = 47

So the consecutive no's are: 47 and 48
